Being a 90s child, one of the movies of my childhood was The Parent Trap. I don’t know about you, but when I saw these brownies, I immediately thought of that scene when Hallie and Annie bond over their love of peanut butter and Oreos… and to those who say peanut butter and Oreos are a weird combination, I say “craziness” because peanut butter and Oreos are the cutest couple since chocolate and pretzels!
I’ve tried now for 30 minutes to describe these to you and have come to the conclusion that I’m just going to have to end all the ingredients with “-ness” and move on …so the brownie is packed with peanut butter gooeyness, crunchy-munchy Oreo-ness, all topped with chocolatey brownie-ness!
This recipe is super fast and really spruces up your brownie mix! That isn’t meant to sound snotty…Betty Crocker is my best friend! Actually, the first time I made homemade brownies was my Bewildered Brownies!
So ladies and gents, gather your “health” food …and your bigger pants! Good thing it’s not January anymore….those feeble attempts at eating healthy are gone!
I used Double Stuf Oreos but the regular ones would work too! While we’re on the subject…why on earth did Nabisco spell “stuff” with one “f”? Did someone in the marketing department hate their English teacher in high school and thought this was the ultimate revenge? Or maybe their finger cramped when they were typing it up?
Well enough with my rant, mix up your brownie mix. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and line a muffin tin.
Grab two Oreos and spread ~1 teaspoon of peanut butter over one, sandwich it with the other and then spread another ~1 teaspoon of peanut butter on top. Sit your peanut butter Oreo stack in a muffin cup. Then take some brownie batter (~3 Tablespoons) and pour it over the stack. Let the batter ooze down the sides of the stack. If some of the stack isn’t covered, smear some of the batter around the hole or add more batter!Repeat until you run out of Oreos. One package of Oreos has 30 Oreos, so I ended up with 15 brownies and had a little left over brownie batter.
Bake the brownies for 18- 20 minutes, until the brownies are set. Let cool in the pan.

- Grab two Oreos and spread ~1 teaspoon of peanut butter over one, sandwich it with the other and then spread another ~1 teaspoon of peanut butter on top.

- Spoon ~ 3 Tablespoons of brownie batter over the stack, letting the batter ooze down the sides of the stack.
- If some of the stack isn’t covered, smear some of the batter around the hole or add more batter!
